The Garden Thatch Company is a family run business that has over 20 years experience in the building industry, and they offer a friendly and personal service to all their customers. Their inspiration for Thatched Garden Rooms followed various trips to Africa, Australia and Europe, and they built their first prototype "summer house" in the grounds of a country house using 100% natural materials. Further experimentation with South African cape reed thatching resulted in their present range of umbrellas, gazebos and the two garden rooms - the Caledon and Komati.


Whilst many companies can provide outdoor buildings, Garden Thatch is virtually unique as the cost of their garden rooms includes delivery and installation on an unprepared site, normally in one day! Their outdoor rooms are built on piles which are sunk into the ground. A concrete base is not required. This removes the hassle of finding a builder to lay a concrete base prior to your building arriving.

Another advantage of the Garden Thatch installation method is that the building can even be erected on a sloping site, depending on site conditions.
